1984

The story of Yummy Bakery begins modestly, but with a lot of flavor. In 1984, Annie Alderweireldt developed the recipe for the original Bruges pancake in her garage. With simple ingredients and a generous dose of passion, she baked her first artisanal pancakes for local businesses. What began as a small business laid the foundation for a story of growth that continues today, with the same passion for the craft.

Today

What once began in a garage has now grown into a modern and fully automated production facility, where thousands of artisanal pancakes roll off the production line every day. We are therefore proud of our position as market leader. Yummy Bakery is now run by the second generation: Tom and Sara Geldhof, together with their mother Annie, have taken the family business to the next level.

Thanks to strong investments in technology and innovation, Yummy Bakery combines artisanal quality with industrial precision. Fully automated lines, smart process control, and thorough technological integration ensure efficient, consistent, and delicious production.

We are proud of the recognition we have received: as category leader in our market and thanks to important certifications such as IFS and Halal. Sustainability is woven into our entire story: we run on green energy, invest in solar panels, and use reusable Chep pallets in our logistics.

Yummy Bakery is and will remain a 100% family business, with a strong vision for the future and the clear ambition to continue growing globally, without ever losing our roots, values, and love of baking.
